We don't have looseys because it's illegal, father. They want to ensure you pony up and buy the whole damn pack!dad wrote:It’s never too late to start a loosey business in NZ. Funny, all I hear is whining, and not a strong lad trying to earn some extra cash in spite of the law.Ello Sailor wrote:We don't have looseys because it's illegal, father. I love that these shows have made fucking Baltimore somewhat of a tourist stop for foreigners.Ello Sailor wrote:The Corner and The Wire painted Baltimore as some kind of hell on earth, but I thought it was neat that the bodegas offered the purchasing of single smokes. We don't have that here.
Don’t you have to buy them in packs of 40 over there too?Ello Sailor wrote:We don't have looseys because it's illegal, father. Nah, you can buy 20s. Most people buy 30 or 50 gram pouches and roll their own, though. A 50g of Port Royal will sting you $120!spike wrote:Don’t you have to buy them in packs of 40 over there too?Ello Sailor wrote:We don't have looseys because it's illegal, father. Same. Today you, tomorrow me.Malloy wrote:alwaystree_ wrote:Follow up question: when you were a smoker, did you give bummers one when they asked?
Maybe they will heal you and you can run again. Or kill you. Probably that one.Rangi Guy wrote:Is it $120 for a pouch now?
I used to smoke - gave it up a few years back now - was getting in the way of my running. Now I can't run anymore, so maybe time to pick it back up again
I can live with those odds......or can I?lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Maybe they will heal you and you can run again. Or kill you. Probably that one.Rangi Guy wrote:Is it $120 for a pouch now?

I have gladly offered a buck a bum and now I kinda wonder what is the most I’ve ever offered/paid for a single heatertree_ wrote:I've seen people charge money for a bum. Does anyone take the buck? I think I’ve done this a couple times and the money tendered was declined both times.Bammer wrote:I have gladly offered a buck a bum and now I kinda wonder what is the most I’ve ever offered/paid for a single heatertree_ wrote:I've seen people charge money for a bum. Been a long time, couldn’t tell you for sure other than it’s definitely happened more than twice and I’m sure I’ve gotten a rainbow of various responses.spike wrote:Does anyone take the buck? You ask for the light first, then the cigarette. There’s your charm.Bammer wrote:Been a long time, couldn’t tell you for sure other than it’s definitely happened more than twice and I’m sure I’ve gotten a rainbow of various responses.spike wrote:Does anyone take the buck? The best part of bumming a smoke, especially when the giver is reluctant but you force it out of them with your charm, is then also asking them for a light. Always good for a laugh.
