Pearl Jam shat the bed, but their best material is so far ahead of some of the other artists mentioned here, that it’s not really a fair comparison. If your best or regular output is mediocre, you’ve shat the bed from the very start.

Daft Punk and Portishead came out as motherf******* sublime on their debuts, and failed to follow up adequately as their careers progressed.

I dont like Portishead third album. I also think its not fair comparing a band or artist who makes a lot of music with Dangelo or Portishead who have like 3 albums in 30 years
