Excluding the "Evening with Pearl Jam" format of 2013 to 2018, Pearl Jam has almost always taken the stage a bit before 9:00 and ended a little after 11:00. The shows used to have 27ish songs. Now they have 24ish songs. So much more rambling. It's like listening to someone else's grandpa talk about a person that's been dead since before you were born.Bammer wrote:Bammer likes this postCopperTom wrote:Just think how long the ramble will be that explains the cancelation.
If he's in old man mode, he unknowingly tells her the same story multiple times. I can't wait until it happens at the same show.tragabigzanda wrote:do we think Ed rambles at home or does Jill just tell him to save it for the road?
How tired do you think Jill is of hearing Sean Penn and Bill Maher stories?CopperTom wrote:If he's in old man mode, he unknowingly tells her the same story multiple times. Chicago Night 1 last week, his rambling had a very distinct "old man" character to it. It seemed that the talk-breaks every few songs were also a conscious "vocal management" strategy to give him a bit of a break and help fill time. In that regard, it was okay with me (and I was pleasantly surprised with how he sounded). But during the actual stories and anecdotes, boy, it was often rough going.CopperTom wrote:Excluding the "Evening with Pearl Jam" format of 2013 to 2018, Pearl Jam has almost always taken the stage a bit before 9:00 and ended a little after 11:00. I’m pretty sure they were selling Chicago 2 stuff the day in between shows. Second hand account, so grain of salt.wease wrote:DamnMonkey_Driven wrote:Day of show I believewease wrote:So for the sale tomorrow between shows, will they already sell Friday night’s shirt?
