I used to have different groups of friends that I tried to keep very separate from each other. The groups had little to nothing in common with each other, so I didn't try to mix them.

I have no local friends. All of my friends live an average of 1284 miles away, with the 2 closest being 395 (different places in opposite directions, oddly). If I find the most common spot on a map to be average equidistance to everyone, I’d live in roughly Oklahoma City. Guess I should move.

my best friend i have known since kindergarten though we didnt become friends until early 20s. she has one older sister and one younger sister and i am basically the brother they never wanted. they invite me to all their family gatherings. her kids adore me and they are some pretty awesome humans

my other really close friend is from highschool and we didnt get to know each other until our 30th reunion. like best friend we all have warped senses of humor but can act like an adult when called upon.

then i have a variety of friends that i see every once in a while. ranging from an accomplished blues musician in the north east, a electrician, stay at home moms, pharmacy reps, teachers ....
