I think you should reach out to your brother in law.
I did a couple weeks ago after his dad died
sweet glad you could reconnect
he was my favorite relative up until about 2015...we did a lot of stuff together..now he's lost his marbles..it happens
You should help him find his marbles

thats unpossible..
