Not sure if you are asking this due to the WWIII comment. If so, I think the implication is that if the US, EU, Iran, and other major players get involved, it will expand to beyond just the immediate Israel/Palestine area of operation.

Looks like it’s all about I get really really fucked
And I wouldn’t put it past the Russians to give Iran nukes

Latest: Escalations on the Lebanese border. IDF striking inside Lebanon at suspected Hezbollah targets.
Netanyahu confirms to Biden that IDF is preparing for ground incursion into Gaza.
EU freezes over €600m of aid to Palestine.
Reports of 2 Hamas missile strikes inside Israel.

Man, this is depressing. The fact that most of the world doesnt give a damn about it too.

Hamas knew the results of their unconscionable cruelty would be a temporary re-occupation of Gaza. They knew what that would mean for innocents in Gaza and they did it anyway. They want to force the martyrdom of the people of Gaza to try and break Israel's normalization of relations with their Arab neighbors that has been going on for a decade because Hamas knows that once peace is shown to be possible, that once Israel's Islamic neighbors learn they can peacefully coexist and trade with the Jewish state, their power is gone. If it looks like the world doesn't care, it's because the world is sick of these psychopaths actively preventing the peace process from succeeding and are getting out of the way knowing that Israel will now bear the burden of what has to be done to stop this death spiral.

I was responding to the comment about if Iran gives a nuke to Hamas, but I take your point

there are tactical nukes that are smaller that still do a lot of damage to a specific area. Maybe that would be the idea.

I hope this is Israel talking out of turn. Why would the Biden admin push Congress approve a war with Syria* if Hezbollah attacks Israel?

*Edit

Also, we've bombed Syria without a war declaration previously.

One yearns for the days when America was dragged into a middle eastern war for something actually valuable like oil rather than some dusty rocks.

As of a week ago, the Reagan Carrier group was in the area.

Netanyahu just gave a speech in which he thanked US Congress, among others. What is Congress agreeing to?

Congress agrees that there will be no Congress whatsoever for a few weeks, sorry!

Important to understand that these folks aren’t sympathetic to hamas, they’re just concerned about human rights and what have you

Hezbollah are from Lebanon, although of course they are supported by the Syrian and Iranian government.

Everyone should view Hamas as a terrorist organization after this, that should be outlawed and fought against, like Al-Qaeda or ISIS.

While Israel deserves support for these horribe terrorist attacks, the civilian population of Gaza must also be protected. Stopping water can not be the solution. Peaceful evacuation of the civilian population must be of the highest priority.

After this I can see no other solution than Israel invading Gaza. Hopefully as humanely as possible.

I love that they made up the part about them being electric. Popular resistance with a carbon footprint gives me the ick.

Apart from being a major smuggling route, Syria is rather too busy with domestic issues to be a major threat to anyone. This is specifically threatening the weakest member of the Iranian backed alliance, to some unclear effect. It's not like Assad can call any of this off.

Jokes aside. You need to read that again
Israel. support from what now?
From the American government and military that lumps a fe billion into it a year?

A six month old baby was the first fatality of Israeli ‘policing’ and ground invasion this year. What did she do wrong ?

She was six months old. And the idf killed her

But yeah. Palestinians are the problem

Ukranins against imperial oppression -good
Palestinians against imperial oppression- bad

You people make me sick
