Not bad at all. 10 DM tracks played over the 2 nights which is close to perfect for anyone attending both.

If there's this spread at the 2 shows I'm seeing in November I'll be stoked.

i know a lot of people would enjoy that setlist but it gives me a little bit of trepidation

Of The Girl is A+++

but idk about the rest of that

i think the lack of Vs. is due to it being the anti-Dark Matter

PJ are channeling their adult contempo side through this tour: it's OK to be old, boring, unexciting, low energy, wealthy, in mascara, have loose bowels, ugly hats, bossy, uninteresting, manicured, chauffeured, wrapped in plastic

whereas Vs is unbridled youth

if PJ are in DM mode then Vs. is a turnoff to them

Glad they remembered Won't Tell exists.
It’s probably time to change it up a bit so it doesn’t get stale for them. I loved the first four tracks of DM section, and I’d hate to see a 4 song run become autopilot. Upper Hand is my favorite DM track by far, but rotating it with Won’t Tell or Stevie or Got to Give is probably a good idea.

This band is pulling from their entire catalog beautifully and we still have 5 shows to go on this leg. It will be fun to look at the song list at the end of it.

Good to see more folks coming around on this. They aren't doing anyone any favors with repetitive Eras-style song blocks when they can just weave in the entire album over the two night stands.

These sets are all perfectly fine, but I gotta be honest — ever since Eddie teased “Felicity’s Surprise” in that interview, they have all been mildly disappointing.

Awesome sets if you ask me.

But I don't like Ed giving up guitar duties to JK. He plays guitar on something special. Same with setting sun.

Hmm. I knew he didn’t play on Stevie. So is he gonna start doing this with the older, more established tunes, too? Don’t really care for that idea.

But that’s because he wrote some stuff on those two songs

Also Ed said during the BS interview he had pretty bad tennis elbow from playing guitar. Might need a break, and it’s not his calling card anyway.

Yeah, if you are Ed it makes no sense to push yourself when you have JoshK right there.

They're probably still learning how to play it.

The version at Fenway in 2018 was rough to listen to...I didn't need to ever hear it again live before that, and I sure as hell don't need it again after that trainwreck
