1 1/2 stars as a general rule, but the Spotify mix feeds the mood and swell enough to make it 2 1/2.

i dig it too but Gone just never gets off the ground for me.
And I can't figure out why. It just doesn't have that magic thing that a lot of Ed's tunes have. I don't get it, but it just doesn't.
I really the song writing on Self Titled though.

For the longest time I thought “letting go of it all” in the chorus was Eddie enunciating the word Gone....like “this tiiiime III....AMM GAWWWEEAYAWWWWHAAAAWWWWNNNNN”
I still like to pretend that’s what it says because it was one of my favorite moments

Average song with a strong ending. Fans of Let’s See Action probably appreciate Gone more than others do.

Always loved this one and could never understand it being as widely panned as it seems to be.
Gone gives me a similar feel to In Hiding, which I also love. Also super into what the band did with Ed's demo.

Like the verse melody/performance a lot. The pre-chorus melody/performance is solid. Hate the chorus melody/performance a lot.
