My wife had shingles last year, fucking terrible. The good news is that insurance may cover your shingles vaccine earlier than it normally would because you’ve already had it once. I think usually you have to wait until age 55.

So it turns out I’m still in the acute phase of shingles.

All the postherpetic neuralgia symptoms I am having are too early … onset of that would be months out.

Worst itch/scratch last night so far and basically zero sleep.

Shingles is, yes, a form of the herpes virus.
