The UK really does crime drama so much better than the US.

Not British but will post in here (sorry dime)
Dublin Murders was good. Fucked yup but good. I’ve read a few books by the author that the show was based on, Tana French.
If i watch any more Irish shows I’ll rename the thread

You should watch Love/Hate. Seriously dark Dublin drug/crime gang drama.
Dark as fuck but great tv.
Also, Kin. Haven’t seen that one but everyone is hoping there’ll be more of it to come.

Douglas is cancelled.
Watched it thinking it was a comedy. The first couple of episodes are genuinely great comedy at exactly the right moments. Then it takes a really dark turn. And another. And another.
Well worth a watch if you haven’t seen it. It’s very on the nose messaging but about everything. Haven’t seen the last couple of episodes yet but it is shaping up to be a doozy.
Give it a spin.
Synopsis
Douglas Bellowes is a widely respected middle news anchor with a sidekick, Madeline, and a newspaper editor wife, Sheila. However, when Douglas makes an ill-advised joke at a wedding, his career is put into jeopardy because of cancel culture.

Was it good?
I missed it at the time, for reasons. Everyone raves about it.
It’s all on the Rte player though. Ruddo check the Rte player site (our national broadcaster) for both love hate and kin. They’re on there. Free to watch.
I think they’ll play for you but if you have a vpn you won’t have a problem.

Love this one to death.
Fawlty Towers, The Young Ones and Blackadder (S2-4) are iconic.
The Ricky Gervais suite: The Office / Extras / Derek / Life's Too Short / Afterlife
Chernobyl should get a mention, as should Peaky Blinders.

Peep Show is gold (hello my avatar Jeremy). The IT Crowd season 2 episode 1 "Work Outing" is one of the funniest individual sitcom episodes I've ever watched. Red Dwarf is fun as hell. The OG Young Ones was a game changer. "I've got a porsche". Lol.
Brits also do crime really well. Luther was brilliant, as is Slow Horses. Broadchurch too.
British TV is, in general, the best TV around. When it's good there's nothing better.
