Re: 2025-05-16: Pittsburgh, PA
A buddy and I were supposed to drive down from Canada but sadly, we're opting out due to all the current friction between the US and Canada.
We started looking today at unloading our tickets and Ticketmaster/StubHub don't seem to want to let us do this unless we have an American bank account. It also appears that we're unable to transfer tickets unless we're physically there in-person to see the buyer into the venue.
Does anybody have any insight into this and any suggestions on what we can do to not have to eat $1000 worth of tickets for the two shows?

i have heard that re-sale on the non-ticketmaster sites has become a real pain in the butt if you buy from a re-sale site and don't wanna go
but I have not heard about issues re-listing on TM if you bought from TM directly
sorry to hear
if you chance it and get arrested in front of the venue
i will come over to you
and you can transfer to me in-person

frustrating when they do crap like this and it leads to empty seats (and wasted money)

I’ve seen a couple of guys make the same complaint over at the Pit and they had to actually call Ticketmaster to get it resolved. They did get refunds, tho. I don’t think they bought them from StubHub tho.

I had to sell some Toronto tickets several years ago and it just suddenly worked with my US bank account after multiple failed attempts. I know that’s probably not helpful!96583UP wrote:i see the notice in the TM site now about PJ making these non-transferrable, and TM policy being you need a bank account in the country of event

Thanks for the insight, gang!
They were bought through Ticketmaster, though obviously before the days when heading across the border seemed like such a precarious thing.
Maybe we'll call TM and see what, if anything, they can do.

Re: 2025-05-16: Pittsburgh, PA
So far, we've determined that our only real option is to roll the dice on transferring them to someone through TM and worrying about the money through a PayPal transaction or equivalent.
This is an enormous longshot, but does anybody on here want a pair or two of tickets to these shows? They're not unbelievable seats, but they're not bad. We're just looking to get what we paid for them, which was $385.04 per pair.
Friday
Sec 205, Row G, Seats 3 and 4
Sunday
Section 221, Row G, Seats 10 and 11
Also, if this is in some way outside the forum guidelines, let me know ASAP and I'll delete the post.

I thought the tix weren’t transferable. I mean, I hope you can, but I thought they didn’t allow transfers.

I don't think you can transfer them directly. Over on The Pit there's a huge thread of people trying to time up link-drops in order to beat the bots that snatch things up right away, but it sounds like a real slog.

Well, I think my friend has managed to sell them. I'm not 100% sure yet what he did, but when I find out I'll report back.

Looks like the wife has an ear infection, so unless we get that puppy resolved in two days, looks like it's time to pick a kid to go.
