The wife and kid seem to have handled it all in stride, but I knew it’d be a harder adjustment for me. I’ve had ups and downs, but settled into a good grove by October or so. Then the holidays hit and I started feeling some homesickness again. Currently weathering that a bit, hoping it’ll fade once we’re into the new year.

So I guess to sum up, 2024 was a big blur I’m still processing and recovering from.
try not to think about it

focus on your family

and remember

your laptop is always your home

no matter what continent you view it in
That’s gotten me this far, will continue.

let's try that ramen again in 2025

but instead of 48H prep work

let's do the 5 minute one with oodles of noodles, a slice of american cheese, and an egg

Traveled a bit. Met VG in Europe. Got to hang with Dad and Mrs Dad in Chicago where we all met Chris. Saw PJ a couple of times. Saw Warren Haynes.

For the most part family is healthy. I’m the only one lacking in that dept.

2025 will be dedicated to healthier living. And more traveling. And seeing PJ. And hanging with Dad and Mrs Dad.

My favorite band since I was in tenth grade released my favorite album by them since I was a senior (1994), and I got to see every song on it live across the 4 shows I went to.
