Pretty sad to see all the crazy fake news out there. It’s already a tragedy and that stuff just makes it worse :(

The way it’s all been politicised is a damning indictment on American discourse.

Majority of those lost their homes no longer have insurance as of a few months ago, if they ever did at all. Tens of thousands of people now with no home and what’s going to happen to them and all that burned dead space? They’ll have to sell and probably for buttons compared to what it’s worth. People selling out of desperation.
No love for Los Angeles, always found it a cruel and mean place with no soul. But if this doesn’t upend and expose the epic fraud of insurance and health industry in the US, nothing will. So hopefully some good comes of that at least.

I forgot that LA, San Diego and wherever else in CA have to buy water from outside sources.

The first part has been widely debunked; existing wildfire coverages were transferred to other companies under the same parent corporation. The more realistic challenge will be what happens to rates and coverages moving forward, as these claims will completely disrupt the calculus of the industry.

The second part is horseshit. Los Angeles is one of the most culturally diverse cities on the planet, with a variety of ethnicities and cultural norms represented en masse across a patchwork of interconnected neighborhoods. The philanthropic sector is huge, and the network of non-profit social service orgs is a core part of the city’s identity.

They’re all online with their go fund mes
Your second point to my point is horsehit. I’ve never seen more homeless people in worse conditions anywhere in the world and there’s thousands and thousands of them. Culturally diverse fine. My hole. That wasn’t my point. The cruelty which it lets people fall through the cracks and blight every street with nowhere to go and left to starve, was my point and that’s its identity whether you like it or not.

To your first point, India would like a word with you (to say nothing of San Francisco or Portland).

To your second point, the most progressive policies in the world can't persuade the mentally ill/self-medicating to access care options that they don't want to access.

I thought you were off Twitter now.

You’re deflecting to India? Really? Some fall back. Desperate.
You need to read my post again.
Also, homeless people in India have access to food and are fed daily if when they want. Not the case in LA.
Your second point is obvious and had nothing to do with mine. I didn’t even bring up homeless people in LA I asked where the thousands of those who’ve lost their homes will go and what they’re going to do?
