I think this one is pretty spectacular on second listen. Fuck Sirens, this should be the single if they want to go this route.

The chords on the chorus sound really familiar. Like some movie song.
Imagine if the guitar really did sound like NAIS like that one review said.

welp.
I really dislike that piano in the back
We need one of these for McCreaaaaaddyyyyyyyyy too
The piano in the back of this one sounds very like the piano in Lowlight.
I guess the difference is ive never noticed the piano on lowlight

....i'll check that out later lol.

At one point it's almost the only instrument playing.

Right down to the phrasing, the "ye-hellow moon on the rise" is a direct echo of Neil Young's "Helpless." A deliberate reference, I suspect.

I don't know what to say.
I always focus on the vocals/guitar.
I thought that was an organ.
Am i going insane?
I'll go lie down.
Oh the bridgeish? yeah.

Total standout on early listen. Neil Young and REM hybrid filtered through Lowlight. This is the one which transported me to another place, felt like I was in Arizona or New Mexico out in the desert at sunset. Love it.

Didn't Mike or one of them reference a nod to Helpless during those interviews?

I don't think the song really sounds like Neil Young at all. But I'm pretty sure Eddie is directly and deliberately quoting the lyrics.

Didn't he already do that with The Who in Inside Job?

pretty good song. parts of it remind me of low light and hard sun.
