Let's Make A Deal? I get those two mixed up.Kevin Davis wrote:Doesn't Drew Carey host The Price is Right?BurtReynolds wrote:Heh I just saw a Price is Right episode with two people dressed as indians. I think they got like $200 for a chapstick. Wayne Brady is the real monster here.
Google says 28 October.zeb wrote:Do you know when the whole thing comes out, Fingers?
I wouldn't be surprised to see it get pushed back to the Black Friday Record Store Day. The complete lineup hasn't been announced yet, but I feel like this is going to be pretty special.zeb wrote:Google says 28 October.zeb wrote:Do you know when the whole thing comes out, Fingers?
The Terror is superb, birdbrain.verb_to_trust wrote:They are one of the bands playing at Riot Fest in Chicago in September....... hopefully they decide to play a 'festival' set list and stay far far away from The Terror...

I saw them in Saint Louis back in June at a 2000 seat venue. It was one of the best Lips shows i've seen in a while to be honest. The setlist was killer and focused on a lot of their "hits". Waynes voice is pretty shot to shit these days, but who ever went to a Lips show to hear Waynes beautiful voice anyway? They replaced Kliph with the drummer from Stardeath and the White Dwarfs and another percussionist whom are both rodies as well. They also added another backup musician who plays synths, acoustic guitar and pads. Steven Drozd runs the show, Wayne is the cheerleader, Michael Ivins just barely shows up at this point and the other guys just play whatever Steven tells them to play. You should go to the shitty festival.diesel wrote:anyone see these guys recently? who did they replace kliph with? they're playing a really really shity festival around here saturday.
i did go (by myself, even) and it was probably the most enjoyable lips show i've seen. after seeing many of the same songs in the handful of times i've seen them in the last ten years, it was nice to see a completely different show, and i thought they pulled off the album well. wayne started the show by saying some real nice things about ronald jones and his contributions.AndySlash wrote:after just playing first avenue here on july 15, the lips are coming back on september 14 to do the entirety of 'transmissions from the satellite heart'. i skipped the july show, but may have to do this one.
