It has come to our attention that there have been some manufacturing issues with the Lightning Bolt vinyl possibly due to the high quality and delicate nature of the special packaging. If you are in receipt of an album that you feel may be defective in some manner, please send an email to UMG Customer service at: fisherscustsvc@umusic.com indicating the specific issue with your copy. Replacement vinyl will begin shipping out early next week to all those affected by this issue.

It's like when someone is asked what their weakness is and they say "I work too hard" or "I'm too caring."

We have received your E-Mail and apologize for the inconvenience. A replacement vinyl will be sent to you early next week.

Thank you for your patience.

That's the response I got after responding to the first email. Pretty good customer service I think.

Came across this response that someone got from the KGB club
Don't expect getting new covers from 1OC. This respond I got from 10C on a different occasion:

"We sell music. We do not sell Vinyl "conditionally". We do not advertise items as "mint" or any other condition. If you require pristine items, please purchase them in person so you can inspect and reject any items that don't meet your standards.
IF the actual vinyl is damaged and will not play, we will replace it, but we will no longer replace covers, sleeves, boxes etc that do not conform to your conditional standards."

If you really want to get somewhere, dispute the purchase with your credit card company.

I like how the 10C have effectively become the business that Pearl Jam rails against in its songs.

This is the updated version on their site
We are aware that because of the high quality and delicate nature of the special packaging on the vinyl you may be experiencing one or more of the following issues with either the vinyl being damaged, the inner sleeves being torn, or the gatefold ripping on the center seam. If you are in receipt of an album with any of the above defects, please send an email to UMG Customer service at: fisherscustsvc@umusic.com with either a receipt of purchase or a photograph of the damage you are experiencing. Once notified, replacement vinyl will begin shipping the week of October 28th. If you require a replacement on the packaging, please be advised that this will take anywhere from 4-6 weeks as parts of the packaging are made by hand.

So my vinyl is all in good shape and no pops in the recordings, good. However, the volume on this record is really low compared to most of my other records. Whats up with that? Anyone?

Yeah, I've got the pops and skips in addition to the low volume. Significantly lower than anything else I've played recently.

Well, I had a rip in the center seam and that's what I sent them, so I guess that'll be enough. It also looks like I'll just get a new gatefold and not a whole new album.

I have no pops, do I reach out to 10c? the volume is substantially lower than any other record I play. I have to turn it up pretty fucking loud which I feel is close to distorting the music

That's absurd. The following specific problems are caused by the high quality of the product?

It's obviouselly a proven fact if they bothered to ad some fixing on the original text :?

Did you all order directly from 10C? I ordered from Soundstage Direct, and my copy is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, and I'm wondering how worried I should be and / or if it's even possible to get a replacement (if needed) if I didn't go through 10C.

I think "high quality" means "delicate like fine china." Seriously, my vinyl feels like it'll scratch if I blow on it.

To me, that actually sounds like "shitty quality" instead. What's the vinyl weight? By the sounds of it, they are pretty light weight.

It's supposed to be 180g...according to a google cache of the vinyl page because it's currently missing in the PJ shop.
They still haven't shipped mine.
