Im not sure I could personally classify this as comfort food. Its damn near regular in my diet (used to be every week but now maybe twice a month). Its just so fucking fantastic. IM not ashamed of it.

Today, I reached for some leftover chili and realized that I had no more rice. So, I decided to take three of the most comforting of comfort foods and combine them. I heated up the chili, lined my bowl with warmed up leftover corn bread, and topped the bowl off with two fried eggs. I'll probably do it again tomorrow if the weather stays like this.

the way i see it, rice just takes up space in one's stomach that can otherwise be occupied by extra chili
