Something about Chris cornells stage demeanor is hilarious to me. That taking a dump squat stance at the microphone, all that stomping...I assume he doesn't do that nowadays but yeah.

That's the best part!

I usually just start this album from Applebite and let it run through.

Maybe I will revisit it. Dusty and Zero Chance are my faves on DOTU.

DoTU's tail end has the stylistic rivers and valleys usually reserved for concept albums by more typically eccentric artists. Its a very engaging journey. To give it 7/10 would be missing the point entirely in my opinion.

Soundgarden/cc has written a lot of great songs but superunknown and euphoria morning are the only two albums I really like from start to finish

Was a great show. Dude has some incredible pipes. Bolded stuff below were the highlights for me. He flubbed the beginning of A Day in the Life but restarted and nailed it. Seasons was amazing as was all ToTD stuff. Imagine to close it all out was perfect as well. I even enjoyed the audioslave and solo stuff even though I wasn't very familiar with it.

As Hope and Promise Fade
Say Hello 2 Heaven
Scar on the Sky
Dandelion
Silence the Voices
I Am the Highway
Sunshower
Original Fire
#1 Zero
Halfway There
Fell on Black Days
The Day I Tried to Live
Seasons

When I'm Down
Thank You
Wooden Jesus
Call Me a Dog
Hunger Strike (with Bhi Bhiman)
A Day In The Life

Encore:
Bend in the Road
Billie Jean

Lock the Doors
(improv)
Black Hole Sun
Imagine

Awesome! I wish he'd put Footsteps in the rotation now. I'm hoping for Wooden Jesus and The Day I Tried to Live on Wednesday. This is the set I saw last time: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/chris-cor ... 38b39.html

Btw, where is your avatar? It was one of the best here.

You can listen to Cornell's new tune, Misery Chain (for the 12 Years A Slave soundtrack), here:

Nice little tune, great use of his lower register here which is really glowing these days.

Nice song, nice to hear him singing in his lower register and pretty cool to hear Joy Williams here.

This is the set I was lucky enough to witness last night in St. Paul:

Scar on the Sky
Two Drink Minimum
Silence the Voices
Dandelion
Getaway Car
Original Fire
Sunshower
Sweet Euphoria
Halfway There
Fell on Black Days
Seasons
The Day I Tried To Live
Like a Stone
When I'm Down
Can't Change Me
Wooden Jesus
Footsteps (Pearl Jam)
All Night Thing
Hunger Strike
Redemption Song (Bob Marley)
Never Far Away
Doesn't Remind Me
Be Yourself
--Encore--
Misery Chain
Zero Chance
Billie Jean (Michael Jackson)
Dear Prudence (The Beatles)
Black Hole Sun
Imagine (John Lennon)

i wouldn't even know where to begin if i tried to review it. it was amazing. the wooden jesus > footsteps > all night thing run was probably 12 of the best minutes of my life. it would be followed closely by the sunshower > sweet euphoria > halfway there run. what's great about chris is that you can tell there is nothing else he'd rather be doing. touring isn't a burden, and playing 29 songs happens because it is what he wants to do. people yelled shit constantly, and he acknowledged everything and had a good time with it. my favorite response was, "are you the same guy who yells birth ritual at every show?" if i had one complaint, it's that there is a little too much audioslave, but that said, getaway car was an absolute highlight. if chris is touring in your area and you're even a casual fan, it is worth every penny. he may do a fell on black days > seasons > the day i tried to live run when you see him, and if you're like me, you'll be blown away that such majesty was your third favorite 3 song run of the night.

I'm sure Halfway There sounds much better live/acoustic. Can't stand the album version but the demo is nice.

The demo version is great because its a darker song. It fits SG perfectly. The album version is horrible.

I wouldn't call the album version horrible. It's not all that different from the demo. It's just the tempo and the high register vocal up front makes it a little too "sunny" for a SG album. By itself I like it just fine.
