Tonight's episode of Sherlock was weird. A bit weak in fact.

watched ep 1 of season 3. is this show trying to win a comedy bafta now? man, was i relieved when the first death explanation wasn't legitimately what they were trying to pass off. have yet to watch ep 2 yet, but i already grabbed it off kickass.

as to elementary, i really like it. not sure how someone as intelligent as t2b can call it fucking terrible.

I loved the start of season 3 once it was clear that it wasn't what happened.

Elementary is good until Watson starts any conversation.

I haven't started Sherlock yet but it's next on my list.

I think Dime is right about weirdness. What's weird is 2/3 of the season is over and neither episode was really a traditional case-solving episode: Episode one was mainly about getting our heroes back together and episode two was mainly about the wedding and the preparations leading up to it. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the character development, but we get 3 episodes every 24 months. Anyway, just my opinion, but one thing the two previous seasons have in common is a weaker middle episode, and if the finale this season is great, the pattern will remain.

I don't understand why they won't stretch it till 5 or 6 episodes. Especially since they take so long between series.

I get the weird (-ish) but not the weak. The first one was kinda weak IMO, funny and enjoyable but still kinda weak. This one was also funny but as far as plot goes all the little digressions tied nicely into the general story which made it much better. And drunk Sherlock is great.

The middle episodes are the weaker ones. Not saying they're bad - I quite liked "The Blind Banker" and "Hound" just not as good as the 1st & 3rd.

EDIT: watching the wedding bit and his speech was great.

We got three Sherlock movies in a year. I think 3 is good enough for a 90 minutes episode.

But of course the more the better.

As has been stated, they are essentially 3 movies so every two years isn't that bad. Also considering how the careers of BC and MF are both going bonkers right now that's got to be factored in as well.

Finished the episode and it was just great. I really liked the way it all came together, though the ending was sad. Seriously some of the best stuff on TV.

I just finished watching it and I'm pretty sure the wedding episode has been my favorite episode of the series.
