I'd rather hear a dozen amateurs struggle their way through a song they can barely play than one of these carefully prepared and sterilized pieces of shit from a 'real' musician and his producers. I wouldn't consider a song from the latter to be better. Heart plays into it. I probably would have said that once upon a time too, but 4-5 years on the Peoria, IL coffee shop circuit brought me to my senses.
