BurtReynolds is a terribly irresponsible citizen.
The ironic part in all this is, Breakerfall is practically just a collection of ideas from throughout the Who's career, lifted and tangled together. The riff and "sneering at some woman" attitude from Trick of the Light, the lyrics reading like vindictive, detached lost verses from Heart to Hang on To and Imagine a Man, or like pretty much any Pete Townshend self reflection if all the "I"s were turned to "she." The power chord stutter that defined so many of their songs.
It's a bit faster, the rhythm section is way more conventional, Mike's guitar elevates the ending, and the lyrics aren't as good as The Who usually were. Otherwise, it would sound just as much a cover as LROM.
I fully realize a lot of the draw of this band is the sound they make, so I'm not poopooing the idea that a person would like all this Pearl Whoing about and not like The Who. I just think it's an inspired set to match up against each other. And I think its interesting, because Breakerfall sounds and feels more like a Who song than GtF does Zeppelin, and it also interests me when people like Given to Fly and not California
