Evacuation, In the Moonlight, Cropduster, You Are, Get Right, Unemployable... c'mon, seriously!
Agreed, I was really bummed when I learned he didn't write anything for Lightning Bolt, still am.
you left The Fixer off that list!
Johnny Guitar too, I think.
Those are his two best songs.

Bu$hleaguer was the last pointed statement, last maddened exhale that PJ ever made in studio

Not a huge fan of either of these songs. I guess I'd give the nod to Evacuation b/c I like the music, but I don't like the way Ed sings this one, and the chorus is absolutely one of the worst things the band has ever done. How do y'all like it? It just grates my ears. E-vac-U-A-shun, over and over again. It's hell.

I love it!
I've never been able to understand what there isn't to like about that chorus.

They should have chopped this song in favor of Fatal.

The "fallen eagle" bridge is one of the most interesting moments of any PJ song, which is why the song overall works for me big time

The music is totally fascinating, and I wish PJ would dabble a little more in "math rock". I'm not sure if Evacuation is really math rock, but it's as close to it as PJ ever got. Really, Ed is the reason I'm not in love with the song. I just don't like the vocal delivery.

I would say that all of Cameron's Binaural and RA songs are the closest that PJ ever got to "math rock"
Evacuation, In the Moonlight, Cropduster, You Are, Get Right... bring it back Matt!

Evacuation has the worst chorus in the Pearl Jam catalog. It's a song that really needed the chorus to hold it together and it doesn't. The verses and the bridge are great on there own.
