Barack Around the Clock doesn't take itself anywhere near as seriously as No More does.

Somewhere in a 5* hotel bar Larry and Adam sup another whiskey and smirk at each other.
Larry: U-Jam. hahaha
Adam: U-Cunts more like.

W.M.A.!
followed by Rival and Education. Everything else is listed from good, to honest try, to average, for this kind of band (white male democratic american rock stars).

UJam may be the worst miss... Never seen that before...

As far as covers go, MoW may be my favorite hit... and THIS was a great moment:

I think this will finally be the year where Ed opens the first encore at a Boston show by playing Patriot dressed in a full New England Patriots uniform, helmet included. He will probably change the bridge to "And I ain't no New York Jet...I ain't no Miami Dolphin either..."

It will go down in history as the best version of Patriot ever.

Yeah, I loved that version.
Seems like a cool version they could do now after an encore break, just Ed, Jeff and Matt thrashing away for one song.

Gives Mike a poop break, and Stone a break for whatever Stone does.

I always liked the original. Seems like a billion people have covered that song...funny that Springsteen isn't one of them.

You think Eddie has ever dressed up as Bruce for Halloween?

He will also change it to "We are the Patriots" instead of "I am..." to make it more inclusive. Every song is made better that way (as that thread a few months ago proved).

That's pretty great, too...

Nothing like the original, though... Good ol' days syndrome, I suppose...

.

and THIS was the best political hit of the show (skip to 1:34,if you care):

Sinead's first two albums are awesome.

I can't fathom how anyone who claimed to admire Bob Dylan's work could justify booing her. Then again, some of the artists with the most revolutionary messages find themselves with the most reactionary fans down the road...

Hit - wws, army reserve etc on s/t/pj/avocado/whatever. Why? I've always had mixed feelings on the "war on terror", but even at the time I felt they were done very respectfully. It was as though he didn't mind you disagreeing with him.

Miss - pro-choice on his arm. Exactly the opposite of the above.
