Doing early press for “American Gods,” actor Ian McShane has revealed that the proposed telemovie revival of HBO’s “Deadwood” and his most iconic character Al Swearengen is moving forward.

After months of seemingly no movement, McShane tells TV Line that series creator David Milch’s “two-hour movie script’s been delivered to HBO…if they don’t deliver [a finished product], blame them.”

McShane adds that he’s spoken to Milch ‘about some of’ the script: “I’ll be seeing him for lunch [soon]. We’d all love to do it… It would be nice to see all of the old gang again.”

In January, HBO’s top programming exec Casey Bloys said “I haven’t read [Milch]’s script yet… I know he’s working on it. But I have not seen anything yet.”

I’m trying this again; apparently, according to this thread, I watched 6 episodes or so, but in my memory I saw like 2.

Good luck dude. I don’t know how or why I put myself through all 3 seasons and the movie.
