You bitch.
You got owned. Big time.
It happens to the best of us.

chud was right about the way people make inaccurate generalisations about the attitudes of "RM". It isn't really comparable to the circumstance described above as those fans were actual, not hypothetical, idiots.

I'll admit. I wouldn't know a Replacements song if I heard one. Though that doesn't mean I wouldn't be into their live show going on right in front of me.

If people not clapping for The Replacements = "Pearl Jam fans are the worst", then I think it's totally fair to make inaccurate generalizations about RM as well.

Well lets be honest, even if i didnt love the replacements, i can picture PJ fans all lined up with their blankets, sweaty, chugging shitty beer and not letting anybody close. Arms locked for all the jamily.

Honestly, I thought the bad Pearl Jam fans were the ones being judgmental douchebags because other people weren't familiar with a band they liked.

Neither would I.
I have no problem admitting I would have bought a Sunday bracelet and been very happy to have only been in Zilker Park between 8-10pm. The only reason I would have really made a strong effort to get there sooner would be to get a better spot up front for Pearl Jam. If I happened to like what I saw on stage prior to PJ, then yes I would have enjoyed it, but that's not who I was there to see so I don't really care that much and if I wasn't impressed, then I wouldn't have been enthusiastic.
If the Replacements are so great, then why didn't their fans pack the place? That's not a knock on the Replacements...maybe they are great, and I'm just uninformed. I took a quick peek at Wikipedia just now which shows me that they formed in 1979 which probably means that the average age of their fan base is pushing 60...so I'm not terribly surprised that they didn't show up in droves for ACL.
I have not made an effort to see a PJ opener since they went away from all GA shows. Actually that's not true, I did really want to see Ben Harper about 5 years ago but we were running late and it wasn't my fault. I'm actually really disappointed that I missed his set. Other than that, meh.

No limp = pain killer = little wine
