Honestly the issue here is not the choice of song to "cover", but how poorly it was executed.
Can you show me a properly executed cover by PJ?Thurman Murman wrote:Honestly the issue here is not the choice of song to "cover", but how poorly it was executed.

I think covers are one of their strengths.Sgt. Crackpot wrote:Can you show me a properly executed cover by PJ?Thurman Murman wrote:Honestly the issue here is not the choice of song to "cover", but how poorly it was executed.
There's plenty: Baba and RITFW are reliable old faithfuls, Fuckin' Up is always welcome, Timeless Melody was great, Crazy Mary was fantastic on the 2000 tour, etc.Sgt. For the record, I love Frozen, and love the song.warehouse wrote:i wrote this in the other thread, but this isnt even the first time he's done a children's song. some of you people need to get over yourselves.
ive never seen this movie, nor did i watch the clip, but this is the kinda live stuff i enjoy. impromptu, spur of the moment type stuff. they used to do it more often. im sure eddie vedder watched the movie w/ his kids and had the song stuck in his head. hopefully the next movie he watches is 'stop making sense'

Timeless Melody was fantastic.
Desperate for what exactly? You think that small clip was to tap into a certain demographic? Yeah thats the ticket! Obviously for his kids…..IlluminEddie wrote:I am renouncing my fan status starting now. Even Bono wouldn't be this desperate. This is from Eddie who supposedly "spends hours deliberating which songs should be placed into a setlist and where they should go"... this is quite pathetic. I wonder how long it took him to think up where to put this Disney song.
Ugh. You people sicken me.
