I need a better vodka education. What qualities does one look for in a good vodka? I can't get past all of the hot alcohol taste when drinking vodka cocktails.

Ha, I'm not really sure either. If it's smooth, mixes well and has a really clean flavor, it's good to me.

If base spirits were members of the hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan, which rapper would vodka represent?

My cousin swears by it and left me a bottle. It's in my freezer, I haven't touched it yet
Tito's is pretty good. I don't drink vodka a lot but I've found it above average when I've had it.
Today Mr Grey Goose is the best. French and all, you know what? I'm gonna go pour glass of Titos, throw some olives in it then smoke a fatty ALL WHILE LISTENING TO PJ

That sure as hell isn't Tito's. Got a round on the house as it was their suggestion the last time out with friends.
Also, if you get a hot alcohol taste from a drink mixed with premium vodka I'd fault the bartender. I tend to make myself a white russian now and again and I'd definitely fault myself for making too strong a drink however a properly prepared one (or martini for that matter (keeping Ketel One as the constant here)) is absolutely delicious.

Talented is the man who can gracefully introduce fernet into a tiki recipe. It's possible to do, but I've yet to hit that balance.

After drinking nothing but beer all summer, work has been stressing me out lately, so I've switched to my two comfort drinks;
7 & 7 and/or sipping on a nice grappa.

It's a brandy made from grapes in Italy. Usually strong in taste, but really distinct flavor.

As my first post to this forum, I thought I'd share with yall a recipe for vodka infused frosting that i'm making to top my friend's bday cake with
3/4 cup butter
3 cups confectioner’s sugar
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup Pinnacle cake vodka
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
