Good job NFL, I'm sure women will be thrilled with your hollow pink month promotion this year.

Why does Adam Schefter's Twitter avatar look like an offensive Asian caricature?

Colts cut Chris Rainey (breaking team rules)

Another Urban Meyer guy with a problem... who could have forseen that?

Oh, Belichick, you are so sneaky. By my count, this is at least the third time he's done this.

He poached Josh Barrett from the Broncos in 2010. However, since Barrett was a Shanny pick, I wouldn't be surprised if McD didn't really care about it.

And yeah, what Belichick is doing is allowed no matter how much the other teams don't like it. I think a good rule fix would be that the claimed injured player has to be on the 53-man roster for Week 1.

I thought I saw this comment somewhere else today, and indeed:

Are you a Rush fan in addition to the Seahawks? :)

GH your thoughts on Bronco players talking trash about Seahawks?

And your prediction for the game this season?

Who are you talking about? All I head about was Kevin Vickerson being butthurt, which I chuckled more at than anything else since he was a former Seahawk.

And I'll likely homer pick the Broncos, but I've been around this rodeo long enough to know that jack shit is handed to you in the preseason. SEA, SF, NE, NO, GB, and maybe a couple others all have legit claims to being the best.

EDIT: Oops, I may have misread you. If you're talking about Week 3, I actually the Seahawks are going to crush them again. It is in Seattle, after all, and I think the Broncos will still be working on adjustments before entering midseason form.

I think that was the one...it was a D-Lineman. "Fuck Seattle"... etc., etc., etc.

Actually the higher form of entertainment comes from Santa Clara 49er fans and players and their talk. I think you kinda have to win your last matchup with a team in order to be able to talk trash especially if it was a playoff game. It's become quite the rivalry in just a few short years.

Yeah, that was me on Deadspin too. I'm a Rush fan - not a diehard or anything - but the 2112 was just a new spin on the "12" thing.

I especially liked last season when they trash talked after barely squeezing by us on a last second field goal at home (after we destroyed them twice in Seattle) when we still had a comfortable lead for home field advantage.

Uh, Gale...since you "don't understand", here's why: the NFL is making waaaaay more money than in your day, and today's players would like that money to go to them instead of the owners.

Marshawn Lynch To Be Fined More In A Day Than Gale Sayers Made In A Year
Tuesday, July 29, 2014 7:53 pm

Gale Sayers made the Pro Football Hall of Fame even though injuries limited him to essentially six seasons with the Bears. So if any running back has an appreciation how short of an NFL career can last, it's Sayers. That's why it is particularly telling when Sayers says he cannot comprehend today's running backs that turn down millions.

Sayers made $25,000 a year in the NFL. To put that in perspective, Marshawn Lynch, who is holding out with Seattle, is going to be fined $30,000 a day for as long as he continues to miss training camp.

Yes, Lynch -- who has already collected $17 million of the four-year, $30 million contract he signed two years ago -- is willing to be fined more in one day that Hall of Famer Gale Sayers made in one year.

Sayers didn't talk about Lynch specifically, but in general terms, he didn't seem thrilled with some of today's players.

"We made the game for those kids that are turning away millions of dollars," Sayers said.

That hits on one of my pet peeves. I hate when fans complain about how much players make. If the money weren't being given to the players it would just be going into the owners' pockets. It's not like the players are taking money away from fans/teachers/firefighters/whoever people complain "deserves" it.

The next time I hear a left-leaning non-sports person complain about this, I should say something along the lines of "do you want RGIII to get all that money or do you want Dan Snyder to get it?" That ought to end that debate.
