They probably realized they had to repress all of the CD covers, hence the delay.

I would've thought they'd rather insist the show really was in September than spend all that money repressing the covers.

The tracks from the Light Years single are from this show, aren't they?

The only rationale I can think of for delaying the digital release is that they'd had complaints last time that those who ordered the vinyl had to wait months longer to hear the show than everyone else; the obvious solution (to me, anyway) would seem to just give a free digital download to everyone who buys the vinyl, not make everybody wait for months, but hey.

Both on CD right?
Right. And the Vic was also released digitally.
CDs are digital, bro.

You mean the same practice that many other artists employee to give their vinyl purchasing fans an easy way to hear the music while they wait?

Don't get me wrong, I'm stoked that they've put this show out (and excited to finally have a 2000 show on vinyl) - but these last two vault releases have both been shows that they've had already mixed/mastered sitting on the shelf for years, which strikes me as a bit lazy. I really hope we get a 1996 show next year.

Pretty much my feelings too but I'm reassured to know they haven't forgotten about the Vault altogether; I guess it appears to be an annual thing at this point.

My thoughts exactly.

So we're at five officially released Dave A. shows, and a billion Matt shows, but still zero Jack shows, right?

Which five Dave shows?
There's only Vault #1 and the 1993 Vegas show in MP3 from the last time they tried starting up the Vault, I think.
But yes, no full shows with Jack yet - only those from various radio broadcasts and the (probably intentionally) leaked 1995 Washington DC show.

Vault #1, Unplugged on DVD, Drop in the Park, New Year's Eve 92, Vegas 93, Boston 94.
So six Dave A. shows actually.

I know, I know. I thought of that when I hit "Submit" but meh, I knew you'd be the only one that would say that.

Actually, the Constitution Hall vinyl did come with a download code. In fact, I checked today, and mine still works!

Oh, you're right.
I have various issues with most of those so I suppose I've forgotten about them for the most part.

This version of Grievance is probably my all-time favourite

At least we're more or less guaranteed that this Bellingham show will be complete and unedited.

I'm sure you guys know better than I do but...there are only four officially released live tracks from 1995 & 1996, right? History Never Repeats, Nothingman live from the Bridge School Benefit, and the two songs from SLC 1995 on the fan club single.

The incompleteness of shows doesn't actually bother me as much as the sound quality; I find Brendan O'Brien's mixes of the Drop in the Park and Orpheum shows really unpleasant.
The Unplugged fiasco aside, I believe all the other incomplete shows were due to missing portions on the original recordings which can't be helped. However, as you said, at least that won't be an issue with this release.
