Can I use players from the 19th century as well or only when they were the Cardinals?

As long as they show up on whatifsports.com, you can use guys from when they were the Perfectos or the Browns or the Brown Stockings.

Whoever has the Cards, Yanks and Red Sox will be great on paper. For only 42 years of history I like my Rangers team though.

I am hoping my starting rotation can carry me to a stunning championship victory.

I have one pitcher on my entire staff with an ERA over 2.00.

This is great. Bob "Parisian Bob" Caruthers was 5'7" 138lbs and was also a league top-5 hitter. He led the the league with 40 wins and 2.07 era in 1885.

138lbs!

Haha. I was just looking at his page on baseball-reference.com when I was looking up how far back the Cardinals franchise goes.

So can BRL have the Washington Senators years? I dont think it matters as they didnt have many good players.

I would say he can, but only the version of the Senators that became the Rangers. But that is up for discussion.

And I think you're right, I think all of the good Senators ended up as Twins.

You want to step into the box and face a pitcher that looks like that, Kaius?

Yeah, if someone took the Braves though, it would be a legitimate question.

I would say someone who took the Braves can have anyone who played for the franchise dating back to the Boston days.

The only exception I'd be willing to make is if we legitimately had a Nats fan who wanted to join. I'd be open to letting him use old Washington Senators instead of Expos (assuming no one with the Twins or Rangers wanted the old Senators).
