Sub question: If Ultron is Jarvis, then why does his voice change from Paul Bettany to James Spader?

From what I remember, Ultron is actually D.U.M.E, that r-tard bot that Stark always made fun of. It's re-tooled into the Ultron program and wants to prove itself to Stark, and evolves beyond what it started out to be. Hence why we get another voice actor.
Ah. I see. So it isn't Jarvis, strictly speaking. Thanks!

Great.
james spader is going to forever be linked to his voice work as the vision
Just how many robots is James Spader voicing anyhow?
he's only voicing the vision and jarvis. paul bettany is voicing ultron and will be the man in the suit doing the war machine stunts (but war machine is voiced by terrence howard), and elizabeth olsen is the scarlet widow now. also steve guttenberg is kang the conquerer.

Is it too early to call this the best movie in human history?

I think Spader is Ultron. Bettany is Jarvis and The Vision when that happens.

So, The Vision is an extension of Jarvis? Is that like Jarvis goes bad and becomes The Vision? You can spoiler-tag the answer if you think it'll pertain to the film. I honestly don't know much (or anything) about Avengers mythology.

I think, in the comics, Jarvis is an actual human butler.

You guys are funny. You remind me of my wife whenever we watch a movie ."Why is he doing that?" "What is that?" "Who is that?" "Is it like that in the comic?"

"I don't know dear how about you just watch the movie and find out!!!!".

Of course, of course. I almost posted the same thing after Stip's post. But I like having the background info from the source material. I don't care if they change stuff, I just like knowing the histories is all.

Yeah at least with Marvel there is mostly just one continuity in the comics so if you ask a question as long as Alex isn't answering you're likely to get a correct answer and chances are the movies won't be too far off but with DC it's like I can spend a week explaining the 700 versions of Superman but maybe we should just watch the movie and see what they do.
