Mix a little Alex into the situation, and you've got a slightly inferior troll, but still a good one!

is this another way of posting what lv and i said regarding the reaction the movie has gotten from reviewers? or do you think we've "simplified" the movie? and, if so, what'd you like about it? (let me guess:
character,
acting,
mood, etc.)

This is one of this year's best movies? What a shitty year for movies, then. I have a problem with movies that are supposed to be realistic but are far from it. JG's character could have been arrested for so many offenses. On top of that, yeah, he's leading the cops in car chases and even managing to out maneuver and outrace them. He arrives at houses not just seconds but minutes upon minutes ahead of the cops. As he drives away, the cops don't even consider the fire-red Camaro speeding away. Just a silly movie. I expected something great, but was underwhelmed, big-time.

what makes you think Nightcrawler is interested in realism?

If it's not, then what's the point? To buy into the suggestions it's making, I think it should be believable.

It was presented as something that could be believable, and after viewing, it was anything but. I might as well have watched
Batman. At least then I can believe it when he beats every cop in the city to the crime.
