i just pulled the trigger on the kind of lens i've been wanting for a very long time but couldn't justify the expense. a fisheye has always been on my wishlist but the $600+ price tag was just more than i was willing to spend on a single function novelty lens. But lately i'd been reading about this OEM manufacturer in S. Korea that makes a great fisheye (it's better reviewed than the comparable Nikkor at twice the price) so i've been shopping around trying to find one for a good price. This lens is sold under a bunch of different brands, Samyang/Bower/Rokinon/Polaroid/etc but they're all the same just different branding. so expect some fisheye pics once this baby arrives.

FYI you can find these on ebay and other online places for around $300 or less.

Nice. I really like your "Urban" stuff and the more abstract pics in the "Misc" section. I also like the simplicity of the layout on your site.

thanks. simple and clean is what i was going for. the site is sort of dual purpose. my favorite shots are the scenic ones and the more obscure ones and i want those there, but i purposely set it up so that potential clients would see the portraits first. i'm not a pro by any means but occasionally i do get some paid work.

Thanks, I like that one a lot too. These were tough to take because everything happened so fast out there. I just put it on continuous mode with auto settings and snapped away. Out of a few hundred this is what I pulled out that I liked the best.

i added a few new pics at my blog from a recent session for which I was hired to shoot a religious ceremony. it was a pretty tough one actually. a poorly lit room, especially as the sun went down but i think i manged to get some decent shots despite the tricky situation. i just hate shooting at such a high ISO unless i absolutely have to.
