I hate the Wedding Singer so so so much. Same with the Waterboy.


I love Spanglish. Fifty First Dates wasn't bad, and I didn't mind Big Daddy or Mr. Deeds.

But man alive do I fucking HATE Spanglish. Other than Eric Shaeffer's throw away about how terrible Raider's fans are, the movie is exactly worthless.

There's a lot of good stuff in Spanglish. It's a very knowing movie that is pretty insightful thematically. Unfortunately, Brooks is terrible with tone and Tea Leoni is insufferable.

My wife and I were both SO excited for it. And then we both just hated it. It was the night we got engaged and nothing was going the way I wanted it to go. And it all started with Spanglish.
