The point is, you're right about the late 90's...it was pretty full of amelodic, gripless posteuring. But you put on your rose glasses for the era that you remember fondly, which was mostly decorated with unremarkable shit, legacy artists getting their last gaspy wheez around the chart circuit, and songs about being cumbersome to your girl.

yeah, late 90s radio was terrible. but it was cool in that it forced me to start to listen to classic rock stations more, and introduced me to all the 60s and 70s stuff i was only somewhat familiar with via my parents.

It sure did in minneapolis due to Mary Lucia rocking Zone 105 FM. The list I stated was absolute truth in my world and thats all that matters. The rest of the world was full of idiots.

I still listen to System of a Down's first album from time to time.
