i hate it, but mostly because they decided to rename and reorganize everything. it works fine. mostly.

8 is working fine for me at the moment, so I don't see a reason to upgrade.

My general feeling is 7 > 10 > 8, with the caveat that official Windows 7 support ended earlier this year and you'll start seeing it phased out in more and more places next year.

As I said earlier in this thread, if you have a decent screen/monitor (not the typical 1366 x 768 horseshit) you should upgrade because 10 does a better job of scaling images and text. It also does a better job of cleaning (trimming) SSDs. On the downside 10 is slightly more power hungry.

Probably no real need at the moment then, because the normal day to day function is not very different between each version.

However in the long run, security updates for Win 7 will only be provided for so long. So eventually an upgrade will be required.

I'm still dicking around with Windows 8, so bear with me. The task manager is not a tab-able window, and is not on top by default. Who thought that was a good idea? What other features do I need to fix before I use them?
