Vs. or S/T
Maybe I need more angst and anger in my life to fully appreciate them.
I'll always have a soft spot for Vs., but it, along with LB and BS are the albums I listen to least. I'm not comparing in any way, just noting that those are the 3 albums I listen to least.
There are some stellar songs on Vs. but Leash, Blood, Dissident, and Glorified G are all mediocre at best to me.
I've never been a big fan of Leash or Dissident either. I like Blood and GG though. WMA is grossly underrated. I actually love the 2008 live versions, and Matt's drumming.
I really like WMA too.

I don't miss that at all.

Yeah, but you grew up on the internet. You've never had to work for anything in your fat life!

I was going to say exactly this.

But the happiness of a quest accomplished. I miss those days of finally finding a copy/file of an elusive import or a bootleg you never knew existed.

I prefer starving because morsels of food taste glorious that way.

Oh they were still rare morsels.

Please don't compare a need to a shitty mp3.

This is 2015. Everyday is a tragedy.

If I had signatures turned on, I'd make this my signature.

The late 90s/early 2000s were really a transitionary period where the internet had made instant distribution easy but the prohibitive size of lossless files meant inferior quality transfers were almost universally preferred. Had songs like that surfaced in the mid 90s or at any time prior, the songs probably would have turned up on a $50 bootleg somewhere making them a great deal more difficult to obtain but the quality would have almost invariably been better. Where we're at now is much better than either of these options, of course.

Most record shops didn't let you listen to the boots before purchase either. I got quite a few lemons because of this.

I'm not saying those days were better than today. Just that it was a lot of fun hunting stuff down. And it made me listen and appreciate things differently, that's all.

But we were grateful for all we had. Not bitching about what we don't have.

I guess my position is, in terms of access to bootleg recordings, that now is easily the best of times, the 90s were somewhat worse and the early 2000s were terrible (in some respects).

Shocking Comment: Team Joey
I remember when I got my irst pj concert on tape. 7/9/95. i also remember tacking down "aussie dynamos" from a record store in Texas. Id come across magazines and they would list which bootlegs they had. Id call the store and they'd read me off the setlist.
