Really? I figured since he was clutching a picture of his kid, he was there to create a replacement child... which would make him being a robot pretty f'd up.

Everybody's a robot and season 2 introduces Future World, which is one layer deeper.

Ed Harris is badass.

Good call about some of the humans running the park actually being robots.

This looks like a commentary on human nature. We are all flaming pieces of shit deep down. Amirite?

Probably the repair workers, executive lady, and the tool that writes the park story line. Hopkins and Wright are people. (guessing, obviously).

Throw in a little Battlestar Gallactica meets wild west, and you nailed it.

I'm all in.

Yes. That.

It's like they took all these other people's ideas becuase they couldn't come up with a goddamn original idea of their own, and turned it into something ... original

PS - I loved Red Dead Redemption which probably explains why I love this show.

The original screenplay was written in 1973. Who's stealing whose ideas?

I was pretty surprised by how good the movie was. I think Crichton was an interesting director.

I was probably a little quick last week to start just spouting off theories; I think it's also important to note that I'm really enjoying the show. This week was a bit clunky with Hopkins' extended exposition bit (and HOLY SHIT that CGI'd young face, that was almost as bad as the baby in Twilight), and I'm not really interested in the buddy-cop stuff between the security guy and the tech girl. What's interesting and daring about the show, I reckon, is that besides McPoyle and his brother-in-law, the other guests are treated as side characters, while the robots get the really interesting storylines.
