MOS takes place in a separate continuity from the Nolan Batmovies.

The new Superman movie will include Batman in a co-starring role.

I think all the hatred surrounding Affleck is a little overblown. He has been good at languid, "slow burn" performances in his recent movies. I think that translates well to the Bruce Wayne/Batman character.

The problem is Snyder is still directing.

Hopefully Affleck will have some creative input. I think he will be totally fine as batman.

it's a Superman movie with a whole lot of Batman in it. older Batman, asked or coerced out of retirement possibly because it's believed he'll be easily killed by the supes...nope, they become the greatest of buds.

i think i liked him in The Town, but i just loved the movie. and yeah, Snyder directing is actually a problem.

I'm curious as to why the title "Superman vs. Batman" is floating around. So they're against each other? It's not like a Justice League type thing?

not just yet, they are introducing Batman to this " new" dc universe with Superman and try to set the JL movie from this.

Personally, i think they are rushing into something just because Marvel did it, and it went really well.

though i am willing to get ben the benefit of the doubt...if i have learned anything it is to give the movies a chance without going into with preconceived notions

It is going to be very difficult for me to respect/enjoy/give a chance to Batman in a Superman universe so soon after the Nolan take on Batman.

I just cant picture it in a way that I will enjoy. Shit ton of CGI, colorful graphics, too much action....

and of course Ben Affleck, ya.

Im just curious as to how these things move forward as they do. How some would justify doing a new batman and tossing into a sueprman film that they have tried to reboot multiple times over the past 5-6 years.

The Dark Knight was so successful but it was also GREAT. Not just a smashing comic movie, it was a fairly critically acclaimed film trilogy. So... leave it the fuck alone for a few years.

yeah, thats true. Maybe make another sup movie; another superhero movie, build something...think about a cool standalone Batman movie...and then the JL one.
