That's exciting. I wonder if "their No Code" is still in the works.

From their tweets, sounds like they're officially in the studio making the record.

They just posted on Facebook, new album "Get Hurt" due Aug 19th, released through Island Records. No word on when a new single will be out but I suspect real soon if they're releasing in the LP in Aug.
If I could figure out how to post a YT video, I'd post the teaser. Excited to hear something new from them.

I'm enjoying it. It's not as immediate as the previous albums, but musically there's a lot going on. They could churn out album after album of what they've been doing but this really pushes them.

Yeah, I agree. Nothing in particular caught my ear the first listen, but I expect to like it more after a few listens.
I wasn't a huge American Slang fan immediately but grew to love it.

this album contains (at least) 2 of their worst songs in their entire catalog
there's maybe 4-5 decent songs on here sadly

Great webcast last night. I bet it's still on Yahoo. Good mix of old and new. I think the webcast cut their set down significantly. They were only on for about 100 minutes.

I think the album starts out strong and then by song ten I'm starting to lose interest. Which isn't necessarily that bad except there's still five more songs.

They've been playing 22-24 songs per night, 90-100 mins, for a while now. It's a bummer that they haven't expanded that to 2 hrs, especially with the new album.
