Red Mosquito

This is absolutely fascinating, especially the 2nd disc. The first 2 songs on the 2nd disc really stand out as something new and interesting for PJ but I can understand how Ed might've struggled to put lyrics to a bunch of this stuff. Hoping we get some of these songs in a more finished format for Lost Dogs II.

So many interesting influences on this 2nd disc.

2x4 reminds me of some latter day Sonic Youth
Only Cloud in the Sky has some chord changes that are very Radiohead-esque
Breeze in D has some guitar tones that remind me of The Walkmen.

Those are 3 of my favorite bands. Leaves me with a little hope that Lost Dogs II could be full of some surprising gems.

I don't have this but I have "Rough Mixes 02 April 05", which includes many of the "deluxe" versions. Couple this with the brickwall haters mix, and Avocado really shines.

If there ever get back to remastering the albums, I'd really want S/T and Binaural "deluxe" versions. Seems like there were tons of really good ideas floating around those albums that never made the final cut (Binaural especially).

Would it be possible for a pm for the links to this and the binaural deluxe? I would sure appreciate it.

Hey guys, long time lurker, but I couldn't help myself to properly sign up. Any chance of a PM still on these links. I love binaural . Didn't like it for ages but have Come to really reappraise it recently, particularly on learning of its original track order and deliberate decision to make it darker.

Out of interest, is there a reason this isn't available publicly?

Because it's full of material that's either commercially available or not allowed by the band.
