Sooner than I expected, but okay.

For some reason folks around here never like the way I sequence things even though I think they sound great. So, while I think my sequencing will end up being awesome, I'm also going for those "theme" and "originality" points. We'll see what happens. My theme is pretty loose right now.

But I've still got time to tweak and/or change things around.

The emphasis on theme is stupid. Flow is what's important.

Well, then I don't stand a chance.

In order for mine to have it's optimal flow people would have to do a bunch of mix pasting, cross fades and add some dead space at the beginning or end of certain tracks. I was gonna upload the tracks to drop box with CD burning directions but I figured no one will actually listen they will just scan the track listing and vote. I don't have a theme. Creating a theme based on personal and most likely incorrect interpretations of songs seems pointless.

Maybe you're going in the wrong direction with this then.

Nah it flows fine as is but with all the extras it's really good.

I didn't participate last time. But I'll genuinely try to listen to as many of the mixes as possible. Might have trouble if people have specific live versions that I don't have or whatever.

I can assure you that my theme has nothing to do whatsoever with interpretations of any kind.

I'll decide what your themes have to do with.

I'm satisfied with my mix but I feel that most people won't be into it.

after my amazing story story of loss and redemption and winning the olympics was beaten in one of these mix tournaments I am no longer willing to open myself up emotionally to a theme.

I'm gonna lead off with a Habit -> Comatose 1-2 punch to lock in the DcT vote early.

okay, done. Some choices and sequencing that isn't too obvious but hopefully flows well. Now to test it out

I bet people didn't realize the story and you may have had better luck if you had made them aware of it.
