I'd argue it's his last truly great vocal performance.

I have no idea how y'all can begin to manage a top ten McCartney songs list. That's impressive.

McCartney and (especially) McCartney II are amazing records, so despite all odds I am looking forward to hearing this.

I had a great conversation with a friend earlier this week about how great that song is!

I really find the melody super annoying. I can't help it. Its like how some people hate cilantro! Theyre psychopaths.

Which part of the melody? The song changes a couple of times. Do you dislike all of it?

That matters sense. Do you at least like the "if I ever get out of here" part?

Anybody give McCartney III a spin yet? I'm about half way through my first listen. I like it, but I also want it to be weirder so far.

It's pretty perfect for me. It has a beautiful relaxed feeling and some nice unexpected moments. Long Tailed Winter Bird is a bit of a surprise, starting the album with a five minute instrumental, based on a simple motif somehow works. The opening notes to Find My Way make the Hip fan in me smile. Lavatory Lil, Deep Deep Feeling and Slidin' seem like the heart of the album and that's alright by me. The only bum song is The Kiss of Venus.

I don't disagree with anything you said here. Venus may not be as big of a miss for me (upon first listen) as it sounds like it is for you. But otherwise, yeah. It's a great little record.

The previous two installments were a bit stranger and I was expected a little more experimentation (that might be the wrong word; weirdness). But I'm not disappointed. Hearing the whole thing, finally, I can say that I'm really happy with it overall.
