I liked the part of the Brasilia show I heard on Sirirus last night.

Lots of that same digital distortion throughout Brasilia.

Yea, listening to Brasilia now. Only on track 3, but all 3 tracks have it so far.

That distortion on the vocal tracks is painful, it pretty much ruins this series of bootlegs. What a fucking blunder.

I don't really get how it could've happened either. Why just the vocal tracks? Why at every show, did nobody twig after it happened once?

They blamed the "power." No problems with the 2005, 2011 or 2013 recordings from SA though.

Yea, this makes no sense. I can almost guarantee he wasn't using a passive mic, so he didn't need a dedicated pre-amp for his vox. Which means his mic was running through the same board as all the other mics, and into the same A/D converters. I think somebody had the A/D converter set wrong for his mic track, and they didn't catch it until it was too late.
This post went completely over my head.

Sounds about right. Completely unforgivable in a professional setting for it to happen twice. Some one dropped the ball.

I listened to Chile, Buenos Aires and Porto Alegre and they are great.

Taking a quick listen to the samples and it seems as though Bogota is free of vocal distortion - I may actually buy this one.

It's way too early to get worked up about this, but are they going to forego boots for the Fenway and Wrigley shows like they have in the past? I really like having boots of the shows I went to.

The penultimate song on the Bogota boot has been tagged as Rockin' All Over the World.

I also need to use up a bootleg code. Which is the consensus best show of the SA tour?

Great story alert: borrowed my father-in-law's car today and he has Sirius, so guess who dialed up ol' channel 22.

When I did, I was greeted with "Hard to Imagine" from 11/11/15 in Porto Alegre. Was struck by how good Ed sounded, especially on "things were different then...". It's a register that still really works for him, after all these years.

Paging user Release_Me to discuss what notes he hits there and why it's good.

Anyway, thought the band sounded fantastic on that track.

Now someone answer hlniv's question for Christ's sake.
