that was enjoyable. Interested to hear which direction they will go with that "Mantra" song.
one of my favorite parts:
Dave: I wish it was always this easy
Paul: It is

im really interested in "Mantra". That song might be the real special gem of this soundtrack, even if i liked Cut me some slack.
As for the movie, it was ok...i was a little bored with Dave´s views, i dont think it added a lot and even if the story was nice, i dont felt it was that special.
Some musicians seem more interesting than others, and they got little time, like Frank Black and Trent Reznor.

Dave Grohl did an awesome AMA over on Reddit today.
DAVE FUCKING GROHL.
(He went back and answered his post a little more later, but that response was too good.)

That was a terrible thing to do to that kid! But I did have a bit of a chuckle.

Just to be clear: "TLDR" was Dave's response, "totallynotdavegrohl" was the amusing username he chose to use for the AMA.

I enjoyed learning the history of the board and which famous albums were cut on it. Macca and Grohl was cool. Second viewing a month later I was wishing that some parts were more detailed and others left me cold. Grohl started to grate on me a bit. Fun documentary overall.

I think I over-hyped the potential of this soundtrack. It's a bunch of great artists playing mediocre songs.

So is this just another Foo Fighters album, ie. lame alterna-rock? They sure are hyping the shit out of it, but they do that with everything Dave Grohl releases, no matter how shitty.
