I just listened to both of these songs. Turns out they're both fantastic. Love 'em!
But No Way is super better, team.

Here's a story: I went to listen to No Way, and then I was going to listen to Red Mosquito, so that I could erase all doubts about which was a better song, and then Given to Fly came on and completely overshadowed No Way and now I have to finish Given to Fly before I can continue my analysis.

You're always on about overrated, Given to Fly might be the most overrated Pearl Jam song evvah.

I would have agreed with you until recently. I went almost an entire year without listening to much of any Pearl Jam, and several songs that I think had wore thin on me after so many years are back in my good graces. I don't think there's many moments in their catalogue that successfully replicate the ascending buoyancy of GtF's opening moments.

Yeah, that makes sense to me actually. I won't argue.

Small Town is another one that I fully appreciate again.

Between this and "Around the Bend," I feel pretty close to you today, Kaius.

I should probably call it quits while I'm ahead. You take it from here, champ.
I just wish I would've campaigned harder for GtF. Unfortunately it had pretty stiff competition.

I did eventually complete my analysis of this match up, and I'm more certain than ever that Red Mosquito is the better song.

Now I'm at the 'must listen to both songs each match up' stage.
No Way all day.

No Way. Red Mosquito is one of those songs I can appreciate as craft, and I enjoy it whenever I hear it, but it's never really moved me. I'm always a bit at a distance.

I will never get over No Way's chorus and the lyrics in the bridge.

No Way is one of the few times Eddie's mid-era nasal singing style annoys me a little bit. It's mainly Eddie thats my problem with the song, the music is cool.

it annoys me pretty much all the time. It's something every song needs to overcome
