noooooooooooo thank you.
It really does feel comparable to something like Twilight or Harry Potter fandom - these people aren't music fans who are also into Pearl Jam, they're exclusively Pearl Jam fans.

It doesn't get Eddie Vedder than this!
I would say generally speaking that is absolutely true. Of course, ive met some amazing people, but overall I am kind of disgusted with most. its really embarrassing. At this point these people aren't even there for the music. its all about......i dont know what its all about.

Tremor Christ, if better, is not this much better than DTE. C'mon RM. This should should be at least close.

Doesn't the poll calculate how many people think it's better, not by how much?

Sleight of hand is the real winner

Do the Evolution is one of the few times (one of the others being Sleight of Hand) where the band surprised me. I wouldn't have imagined that sound or that humor coming from them. As much as I love the live versions, the studio version does something different. The song is humorous, but it's a very unsettling humor. Ed aimed in the direct opposite direction of everything he was known and acclaimed for, and I couldn't imagine it being better.

So yeah, I really love Tremor Christ; it's a great song. But I just think Evolution's that and more.

Tremor Christ had each member doing amazing things and creating a completely unique piece of art unlike anything else in their catalogue. It is one of a few PJ that I have never tired of.

DtE is a great song. Tremor Christ is phenomenal.

Tremor Christ is like Hard To Imagine on steroids. Early PJ was really good at these types of songs. Stone in particular. Simple riff that they would jam on and create a beautiful piece from.

hard to imagine and tremor christ aren't in the same league, however, they aren't that different in approach. They both play off one simple groove that flows and grooves and builds to a beautiful climax.

It's really amazing how good this band was. They were so great and doing so much with so little.

now they just try too hard.

They were better when they didnt know how to "write" songs.

Tremor Christ always struck me as a song that would have fit nicely on The White Album.

Songs like Tremor Christ grow out of exploring ideas together, eyeball-to-eyeball, from beginning to end.

They're never going to come up with something like that while everybody brings in almost-finished demos and the band just flesh them out.
