i think bertie comes back for her. they spent too much time talking about his dominating mother last episode to not have her figure into the finale somehow.

mary's whole marriage and courtship during the last episode was pretty anti-climatic. they spent 4 seasons talking about her finding a dude, then she changes her mind on this one guy and they get married in 5 minutes?

I generally hate the cliche happy endings, but this show needed it. Good finale, sad to see show be over.

I like that they essentially closed out the show with one of her quips.
