I wonder if this partnership between PJ and TMR will be used as a learning exercise for 10C on how to do vault releases correctly. Quality packages, made with care and consideration of fans. Have vault packages become a regular (quarterly or twice a year event) things.
Or is this a one off that will only highlight how little PJ and 10C care if the work is left to them?

One per year from the Ten Club. Nothing flashy but mostly good feedback.

I don't see how this TMR release is anything but a one-time collaboration.

I'm sure it's a one time deal, but it surely puts the 10c to shame :haha:

I'm just hoping something else sparked from this. Whether future work with Jack White (producer, recording, collaboration, etc), or at least motivation for PJ to experiment more.

I'm actually thinking about ordering this which additionally means buying a record player again and ending my firm stance against vinyl.

Hmm.

Why do you have a firm stance against vinyl?

The format itself is fine, though CDs are arguably superior. I've owned plenty of records but I sold them all a while ago, I've found the "vinyl resurgence" of the last decade or so really off-putting.

I made a decision a while ago to stick with CD/digital only but then something like this comes along and I have to wonder whether I should relax the rules a little.

If your rules are getting in your way then you should relax them. You should probably shift all of your personal rules towards being guidelines.

I'm not as inflexible as the above post might imply, it's more that the circumstance hasn't really come up before and now it has twice in one day (this, and the album by The Still that William Bloke recommended to me in OB - both available on vinyl only).

I don't know, I'll give it more thought.
