Axl never sounded good. From day one I thought he sounded like a gagging cat.

I'll probably get flamed for this, but at least back when he had Finck and Buckethead in the band, they could do a reasonable imitation of Slash and Izzy...but I've yet to see a good performance from his current crop...and Ashba might be the worst guitarist ever

Appetite For Destruction was a great album, particularly at the time.

I might be in the minority here, but I think Chinese Democracy is a really good studio album. I think it has 7 or 8 really good songs. I agree 100% that DJA sucks and that their stage show has been terrible for years.
I would mark out in a second for a GNR show with the original lineup and would be excited to see what Izzy, Slash, and Duff could do with some of the songs from CD.
I think The Blues, Better, Catcher in the Rye, and IRS could have been on any of the GNR albums and been huge hits for them.

yeah , Chinese is actually a great record. Its too over produced and, sure, Axl`s voice is really weird but some of the songs are great and the whole record has a RNR attitude that was very refreshing at the time.

No, its terrible.
I wouldnt want the original lineup to reform. GnR is meant to be in the time capsule. Axel was a flash of lightning maybe....i mean - his ridiculousness was only meant for the short blast that it was.
Thats fine.

So you wouldn't have wanted Axl to join the rest of the band at the RRHOF last year? You think the world was better off with the scab singer?
If they are going to play shows anyway, and all of the members are obviously still active, it might as well be together.
I know most people are going to write off CD because of what it is, but some of those songs are really good. I get that it is a tough sell though.

I love GnR. I cant help that. But CD has no swagger, or roll to the rock. Its just a bloody mess. I enjoy madagascar and uh....better....
But thats it.
I dont know if I would have wanted them to reunite full band at the HOF. It wouldnt have been good. Its like Axl isn't Axl. I dont think it would have been much different than having that cover singer jack off.

I don't think the world is affected in the least by anything that happens at such a masturbatory and ridiculous event. And this...
GnR is meant to be in the time capsule. Axel was a flash of lightning maybe....i mean - his ridiculousness was only meant for the short blast that it was.
...is the truest statement I've ever read about that band.

Myles Kennedy is far from a scab, he blows Axl away in every fashion
and no, I wouldn't want the original band to reform, because quite frankly Axl sucks ass and it would sound like shit because of that fact...

I thought they were next in a long line of arena-rock bullshit coming out of Los Angeles, and that Axl Rose was a douchebag poser who can't sing for shit and dances like Davy Jones. Turns out I was right. It only took 25 years for everybody else to figure it out.
